I've got an HTC Aria, which runs the Android OS. The HTC phones are so much better than those Motorola POS Droids. Haven't had any issues with mine. Daughter has same phone, no probs with hers either. Son has the Samsung Captivate, another Android phone, and he loves it. Motorola just sux.

My Droid and the wife's works great. No problems to speak of yet. It's a miracle I haven't at least cracked the screen (like my wife has) yet!

I used to repair and replace cell phones and cell phone parts for a couple years. Stay with LG and Samsung for regular phones and go with Crackberry, HTC, or an Apple for a smart phone. Motorola is really bad about using lots of plastic parts, even in the moving parts of the phone. So the plastic breaks, or starts to wear and then you rip a flex cable or flex the motherboard and cause components to get knocked off.

I had to go to a Blackberry presentation once, and the introduction consisted of the lady giving the speech taking her phone and throwing it against the wall sidearmed. It bounced off and she went and picked it up and it was still working fine. Not that I recommend doing that, just illustrating that Blackberry's are built well.

Most parts for the Motorola phones are made in Hong Kong now. They used to make the pagers and phone boards in Boynton Beach, but they closed that plant and leveled the building. Now, there is a limited facility down around Sunrise someplace. They might just assemble the 2way radios down there though.
