🙁 hope the young dog gets feeling better. it is terrible to see them in pain and have to fret about what is bothering them, they cant tell us.
Hang in there. Dogs are family ... sometimes the best part of a family. Fingers crossed for her.
sorry to hear this allen. hope she recovers nicely. I know how ya feel. I like my dogs more than most people
I took her to a specialty vet today. This place operates just like a people hospital with specialists in all fields on staff.
The neurologist spent some time with her and basically gave her a good report. The xrays did show some calcification on a couple of her discs. However he did say it is common in this breed and not really threatening right now, but needs to be monitored for the rest of her life. She did not show any signs of pain when he pressed on it. She did show some signs of slight pain in her left hip, but xrays showed nothing. She had dramatically improved when she was there. In fact, I was almost embarrassed because she was almost her old self running around and trying to jump in chairs. I was glad she was better, but wish they could see her when she was at her worst yesterday
She is doing really well since we got home, finally ate and is knocked out asleep in my lap. We have to keep her rested for three weeks(no running, jumping, etc whatsoever). We also have to quit letting them do some things we let them do like jumping off of the bed, etc..
Maybe she pulled a muscle barking. 😉
