man i must be a doe magnet. i know i seen at least 50 this year
I have see more does this year and i hunting public land open no permit. The real kicker is I am really looking for hogs. I watched 3 does i say a nanny a 2 year and 1year.The nanny was big i say that group will be 4 next year. I always enjoy seeing animals. As for scent i was on day 2 of the hunt last shower Friday morning and this was Sunday morning Yesterday. I could of shot them at 500 yards all the way down to 10 feet and back out 500 yard( right under me). These does grazed and picked acorns as the walked from 7am to about 830 when the went out of sight.
So if your still out there looking for your buck i am no help but i can say the does and the hogs seam to be rooming together. I hunting heavy hog sign.
And I couldn't see one to save my life during doe week!
i will have my first oppurtunity to take a doe on my upper hills archery quota. looking forward to increasing my odds a little. but if i see anything with less than 5" or 3 or more pts in range its going down too.
