no probs, I know I can be brusk or worse. if you have an idea of something you want there are members that have much more exp and knowledge then me and may help you find one or steer you in a diff direction.opinions will vary greatly so listen and decide which you like best.there are so many members with vast exp in so many diff areas from guns to hunting to cooking to autos to just about everything and all are happy to help another member. if you are looking for something rare and very specific you may have to buy it or loose it. we all impulse buy at times but just realize your doing it and not likely getting a bargain. for me mostly I wait for a deal to come up and pounce on it and don't have any idea what it may be. others like gunboy target a much more specific high end type, but won't hesitate to snatch up something he may not want to flip and parlay profits into something he does. my 2 cents, put aside as much cash as possible and be patient and keep looking online, newspapers, gun range or store bulletin boards etc. when a steal comes along jump on it fast, if not sure, ask for advice cuz the best deals go quick. that blr with 10 boxes of ammo went in 2 hours. anyone could have bought it and sold in the same day for a 250$ profit, or kept it and had a great gun. there are lots of good guys here that can be a big help, don't hesitate to ask.

X2! Couldn't have said it better myself. If you are interested in or just have the thought one day "boy I'd like to have one of those", do yourself a favor and plan for it. Lets say you want a Browning BAR Semi Auto Hunting gun with nice walnut in .30-06, they can be bought for $900 plus dollars all day and retail over $1K, but if you wait, search, and are patient they can be had for under $500 in a deal. Your choice, your money.

The reason Nacho, myself and a few others are doing this is because between us we have owned, bought, sold, shot, handled, traded and currently own 100's of firearms and have made every mistake known to man, especially "over paying" and "impluse buying" since we just "had to have it" and it turned out to be something, in most cases that didn't really fit the bill of what we wanted or required for the task.

Point and case, I bought six shotguns about 18 months ago for $200.00 because we had about 10 forum members wanting some cheap shooter shotguns for the house, truck, camp and kids. One was an old Stevens pump 12 gauge, 2 old Mossberg bolt action .410's, 2 old Mossberg bolt action 20 gauges, and an H&R single shot 20 gauge. They were not new, but they all functioned and in 60% or better condition. You know I had hell selling and getting rid of them for $75.00 a piece on here! I finally sold four of them, two to forum members, and traded the other two of them. One knucklehead member on here that I sold one of the .410's to for $60 or $70 ended up pawning it a month later for gas money, for a gun he just had to have.

I'd be happy to give advise and find anyone on here what they are looking for firearm wise, but with the exception of three members on here, (they know who they are) I require a deposit to find something for a great price now.

You did OK on that gun but they can be had in the $50 range in the same condition if you are patient and "plan" for a purchase.

Buy a gun from me next time - sold a browning bps 12 special steel edition for $175 and a bar for $625 with a Nikon scope and leupold mounts. Both Great condition. sold both within a few days. When I sell one, I want it gone fast..Then again I don't sell much and only buy the 'b' guns mostly.

I think you did great buying that gun. My first gun was a single shot .410 that I got for Christmas when I was around 10. Out of all of the guns that I now own, that is still my favorite and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
