Me too,gotta build a fort for my kids today. Spent 130.00 bucks yesterday at Lowes,and that just covered the poles and sub floor.There goes my boat,300 win mag,and a few hunting trips.I swear I spend more when I stay home than when I go to the woods.

Just kidding, I know what you mean. About two weeks ago, I was feeling pretty good about having a bit of extra cash after the bills were paid. Was thinking about getting a trolling motor/battery to use with my canoe. Then my daughter calls from West Palm, saying she was thinking of visiting for the weekend. Now I love my little girl as much as any daddy can, but I've also learned that she don't just visit for no reason! It's usually something wrong with her car, or something wrong with her computer. Sure enough, her laptop was broken, and she wanted to see if I could fix it. The laptop had some software issues I probably could have fixed eventually, but after messing with it for awhile I found that the display was going out, and that there was probably a motherboard issue as well. Since she needs the laptop for school and couldn't wait several days for me to order parts, etc. it was just easier to run up to Best Buy and get her a new laptop! Thankfully they had a decent one for just $350 out the door. But that $350 eat up my extra cash and then some, so I spent the last couple of weeks watching every penny. :pinch

He's doing great. Almost finished with his tech school in Biloxi, and then he goes back out to Texas, to Wichita Falls, for more training. Should know by the middle of March or so where he'll be getting stationed for his first permanent duty station. I'm hoping it's Eglin or Tyndall, both up in the Panhandle. Good excuse to go up there and hunt next season!
Him and some friends went over to New Orleans for the weekend and got a little taste of Mardi Gras. He texted me a few minutes ago and said they were eating beignets and drinking chicory coffee. So I know they didn't do anything to get arrested last night!
Baseball practice started yesterday and I gotta say how happy I am with the coaches. My twins coach went to UF on a full baseball scholarship playing catcher. He has a lot to teach the kids,my older son did quite well for not playing for a few years,fielded decent,had a couple of hard drives to the outfield.
