This seems to be a little funny.
Break down..
finding a meat freezer on cl - $50.00
Driving to pick it up - $20.00
Calling the seller and having him tell you that 30 degrees is freezing -$free
Driving to a friends house to drop it off to get fixed $25.00
Price to get it fixed $?
Walking into 7-11 and seeing their sam ice cream freezer with a temp guage at -10 -PRICELESS

HA!!! π That was funny!!!
Since it was suggested in the other post.
I was thinking about posting my customer service story. But I didn't think anyone would care. Good to see other stories.
Anyway, mine is with Remington Arms. I own a Remington 710. It's got a molded plastic stock. Itβs not the greatest rifle, but it does what itβs made to do. I've had this rifle for about 4-5 years and I've never had a problem with it until I was at the gun range a month ago. I used one of the cheap gun rests at the range (I should have known better). After a few shots I noticed that I broke the trigger guard off my gun.
I looked on the internet and couldn't find a replacement stock. I ended up calling Remington. The first guy I talked to said I could buy a replacement stock for $95. He also suggested I call a company that makes stocks. So I called the company and the guy said nobody makes a replacement for the 710 since itβs one molded piece. But that guy said call Remington back and tell them you have a saftey problem. They may replace it if you talk to the right guy.
I waited a week or so and called Remington back. I talked to a guy and explained what happened. He stopped me and started taking my information. He said that the stocks were on backorder, but it would be sent out as soon as they get some in. Well it was delivered yesterday. They even sent me a Remington 770 stock. This one looks nicer than the original! That's some customer service. They didn't ask for a receipt or anything! I'll definitely buy their products again!!! :rockon
The funny part about talking to the Remington rep was he didn't even give me a chance to say "I would hate for something bad to happen and it open you guys up for liability." I'm not the sue happy type of person, but $100 bucks is something I didn't really want to spend on a design flaw.
