did they send him home with gauze packing in his nose? if so it's another trip back to get that out. either way there will be a period of time needed for all swelling to come down and all dried blot (clots/scabs) to pass out his nasal cavaties and in a week or so at his age should be better than new.
Nacho, believe it or not, new technology...the packing is dissolvable.
I had deviated septum/sinus surgery back in high school and I had what felt like a roll of paper towels in my nose.
He is already able to blow his nose and is smelling/tasting things he hasnt been able to detect before. Major blood clots coming out with the help of the saline spray they gave us. Follow up with ENT next week, but no packing to remove
yeah I am dated in just about everything, but just cuz it's old doesn't mean it won't still work. the old sinus packing they used to soak in a cocaine solution. when I started working in hospitals we had to use typewriters to make labels and had a cup of coffee and an ashtray on the med cart.
:innocent PTL!!! I was offline for a coupe of days, so I missed the original update. Thank God he's doing so well!
God bless him and your family.
Great to hear he's going good!!
