Well, my "boy" is 19 and in his second year of college! He's been playing acoustic guitar again for about a year or so (he took lessons when he was about 10-11). He wanted an electric, so we found him a like-new Silvertone SS-11, which is like a Fender Squire for those of you who play. It had a 15W amp and gig bag with it, and he's enjoyed rockin' the house with it.
Last year I got both of us .50 cal muzzleloaders, but neither one of us has gotten to kill anything with them yet. This year looks like it will pas us by, so I'm gonna make sure we get some woods-time in next season!
The kids that are at home got one gift each. Not much just a little something. With out the grandkids here I just could not get into the season. We did not even put a tree up this year. Last year I went nut and spent like 4 to 5 grand on the wife and all the kids, it was great. This year I just couldn't find it in me.
well my sons favorite gift was rockband for the wii. He is an only child and my wife and I dont care about to many things so he is spoiled but he also understands the value of a dollar. he ussually gets one big gift and several small ones , but he understood money was tight this year and did not ask for anything but an $40 . the bad thing is he is 11 and we are out of ideas of stuff to by him that are practical. the good thing is when my waverunner breaks he lets me borrow his plus its better for fishing
rock band is cool.. i like guitar hero.
my daughter recieved a 3day2night hunting trip from my uncle.
we went this past weekend pretty neat.
the place was called hurley's wacasassa plantaion. they have all kinds of stuff going on. we didnt do the guided hunt. they just told a good place to go and we went. did't kill nothing, seen some deer and a few coyotes to far of a shot for her. maybe next time. really cool place though they have cabins, and every kind of hunt you can think of. getting to spend quality time with her in that setting was freakin awsome.
