Haha, I'm in the same boat, different course load though. I have a test in Cellular Biology at 3:30pm today and I just took a test in ecology on Tuesday and a test in Genetics last Tuesday. Got an 88 on ecology and a 84 in Genetics....let's see if I can't keep this B thing a-rolling. Ecology isn't so bad...but Genetics and Cell Bio are both totally brutal. Any microbiologists on the forum?

I got a test friday on game theory and the subgame perfect nash equilibrium. Has anyone got their degree in political science and understands game theory? :help I know im taking a shot in the dark posting this but maybe ill get lucky! In a much better not Turkey season is right around the corner!

Only thing I know in theory is Obama gamed the system, and the equilibrium in my 401K and savings account is no longer a perfect nash
Glad I could be of help :rock_on

My major is microbiology. I started on a chemical engineering degree, but I got sort of burnt out on the higher end calculus and physics, so I switched to a slightly easier major, which put me behind a little bit. I have 3-4 semesters to go, depending on how hard I want to push myself. The trouble with science heavy courses are the laboratory portions...they are extremely time demanding and take a tremendous amount of preparation and concentration.

I'm not intending on going straight into a Master's or PhD program, as continued education is a requirement to maintain your license to practice as a microbiologist, and I'd rather take two or three classes a year, rather than continue full time.... I'm really sick of school.

I'm leaning towards clinical microbiology as a profession, which means I'll be in a lab or hospital identifying microscopic parasites, blood-borne disease and infection, and of course the typical throat swabs for the kid with the runny nose and sore throat. But, I'm also really interested in mycology (fungi-growth) and think it would really neat to go work for a mushroom farm for a couple years. The microbiology field is full of options, most of which are pretty decent paying....so I'm really looking forward to wrapping up and getting the hell outta Tampa and back out into the sticks.
