The wife is looking at getting a Colt Mustang 380 as an upgrade for her. I like the Kimber micro CDP but its too much money IMO. Any of you ever seen or fired a Colt Mustang 380? They came out with it again this year. I can't seem to find one to look at.

she's got good taste in guns. I can't speak for the new ones, but the older ones are legendary. aside from the 380 vs 9mm size/wt/stopping power debate, there's the cost of 380 ammo being high that I never could figure out why. others in that ball park would be a sig 230/232, Walther ppk/ppk-s. personally I'd take a Sig 239 in 9mm. others will chime in that a p3at is the best thing since sliced bread, and a whole lot less money. if you knew people that had some of them, or a range that rented them she could try them out first.
I just looked at the SIG p238. Very nice. That is a contender. I reload my 380 and just about everything... so I really don't pay attention to availability and pricing anymore. I consolidated down to 45acp and 380auto for all the hand guns. That way its easy to stock / reload etc.
The city of Kissimmee had given some development incentives to Colt to build a plant near the turnpike and 192 with the understanding they were going to start manufacturing the new Colt 380 onsite. Needless to say there is no building up yet.
I was up at Gander this morning and had a chance to hold the new Springfiled XDS in 45. The gun just moved up my list of "wants", with a pinkie extension I may be willing to give up my Slim 740 as an EDC.
TCR--- the XDS is freaking awesome. I carry one daily and I love it.
