I actually stopped listening to the radio all together, too much depressing "country". Ms. Swift has pretty much taken over the air and the only reason she is considered country is because she's from Nashville. They tend to only play music that 14-20 age group will listen to (tends to be the age where emotional teens get dumped and relate to crappy radio country), which is why you'll never hear hank I,II or III, coe, hag, willie, jones, walen, jamie johnson or cash. I'm sure I missed afew but it gets aggravating when I see people who sing for ratings rather than what they want.
Theres still plenty of good music out there. Just not on the FM radio anywhere. You have to have satellite radio or streaming radio or something like that. Or be tuned in to the honky tonk scene, etc.
FM radio is too commercial. It's about making $$$ not music.
Its all about the $$$$$. Country (pop) is in now and the girls go crazy for it.
