got some pics today from my new feeder location and saw an animal that at first I thought might be a small pig but had a long rat/possum like tail and appeared to be about the size of a raccoon. could that be a citrus rat or nutria? being from N.Y. and on the water I thought I'd seen big sewer/wharf rats, but this thing was huge. I'd post pics if I knew how. also had a lot of empty pictures, slow trigger speed I guess. took a pic of where something had just been. I'm using a moultrie d50 flash and have a d55ir on order but would hate to have it stolen. only real place I can put it is on a fence post. would one of those lock boxes attatch to a metal fence post?
Need a pic brother. I doubt it was a nutria. They literally live in swamp/marsh areas. I have seen a total of one, and that was about 20 years ago
email it to me if you can't get it to post
Beaver like animal with a long tail like a rat or opossum.
yeah, maybe a little smallish for a beaver. theres a retention pond app 75 yds away and a swamp less than 200 yds. definately too big for your basic rat trap lol.
Something like this?
Gambian pouched rat
