feed old eggs shell back to them just crush it up. mineral for making new shell.
When there in the chicken house coop toss in a lizard and watch the feeding frenzy. Make sure you don't get blood on one the others may eat it. seriously.

I would suggest if you have raccoons in your hood to make it coon proof,I say this out of personal experience. They love chicken meat.
add possums, snakes, hawks, and coyotes now. Yes coyotes in subdivisions in Orlando not the wilderness.
Code enforcement,Bobcats, owls,Baldeagles and the rest of the vermins...................LOL.
