I am really suffering from carpal tunnel in my right hand. Not from :hammer either.
I guess 15 years of squeezing a sprayer has taken its toll. I am going to my regular dr here in the next week or so for a regular visit, and am going to discuss it with him. I mentioned it last year but at the time it was bothering me to some degree, but I didn't have the tell tale signs of CTS. Now my hand is falling asleep at night and waking me up. Last night was the worst. My thumb, index, and middle finger were asleep all night

I guess my question is...if I get the ball rolling now, and they decide to do surgery say June/July time frame...will that put a damper on me shooting a bow in September?? I don't know what the rehab is on this. My wife had it done years ago but we can't remember how long she couldn't use her hand. I sorta hate to put anything off because I am starting to be pretty bothered by this

the wrist brace from walgreens app 15-20$ helps a lot esp at night when people tend to clench their fists during sleep. if it's not bothering you during the day you caught it early. it's a quick simple low risk surg with a high success rate and should be a fast recovery. not sure about how long til you can pull a bow string, maybe time for a x-bow. not sure if this gets you into the old farts club or not being that your still under 50. best of luck.

I got the same thing. I wake up at night and have to make sure my hands are there or that i didnt brake a finger in the middle of the night, from all the flooring installations ive done since 96 and the sanders vobrating in my hand and so on.

Where the wrist brace at night. My Dr told me that I will probably need surgery in the future but the brace has really helped a lot and it hasn't bothered me at all since using the braces. I have it in both hands and it drove me crazy.

I got a brace at Walgreen's yesterday that is for CTS and for wearing at night. Has the bean bag material stuff in it under the wrist and palm. It helped, I didn't wake up till about 4. But it was cumbersome to fall asleep with. It was like having a couple fence slats strapped to my wrist

I think getting hammered and going to sleep is a better remedy
