Ok just looking for opinions, My wifes 03 explorer decided not to start yesterday, which means I cant hunt till its fixed. Battery is fine no blown fuses I can find and smells like its getting gas. I think it has no spark, but it showed no signs of problem just died. Any hints on where to start? I have checked everything I can think off

My only experience with a similar problem was the starter.
If it's going RR RR RR RR RR when you turn the key but it won't "finish" starting, lay under the car and repeatedly tap the starter while someone turns the key.
If that works it's your starter.

Don't forget the distributor cap and rotor that was one that drove me and a mechanic crazy. Coil is the last thing you want to have to replace. Pull plug and check it againts the block for spark while someone cranks it (with a glove on) if spark good and blue then check fuel at shrader valve on fuel rail. Work backward from there.
