Well we got it finished along with a fire pit. The sun beating down about tried to kill me yesterday. I couldn't drink enough water, there was no shade to speak of until we got the roof on. The site is an old abandoned water pumping station. We had to clean up the site and existing slab of all attached metal, that ate up the 1st hour or so. We still need to put up the skinning rack and outdoor shower. As soon as we finished we got a heavy late afternoon shower, no leaks to speak of. We did set up a tree stand at camp to get some archery practice in, I am looking forward to that. All my practice comes in the yard no trees to shoot out of.

Walls, windows and doors? A/C and electricity? Need a new member for 2014? Sorry I can't commit, might be off the grid for a while. Call me and we'll discuss. Looks great though, seriously....

That looks great. Are you going to leave it open like that or close it in? I was thinking something like this for us up in Live Oak. I was planning a raised floor with walls, windows, doors, etc. I want to use old RV appliances and such to outfit the inside. You can find a lot of that stuff on Craigslist. Then it can all be powered by a generator. I'm getting too old to sleep in the dirt if I can help it!

Not going to close this one in. If it was on private property I would be tempted. I have seen a lot of leases only allow open sided structures. Once you close one in you start to get dangerously close to a potential squatter situation. This is just the main meeting/party spot for everyone, I think this is the year every member is going to get a small camper. I know I will be looking for one in the near future.

I still have the build/material list and rough plans if you would like to have them. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail.

I forwarded this thread to a buddy of mine. He's looking to build something similar. Any thoughts on price when its all said and done?
