I think it definitely has some to do with getting used to the heat down here, but it also has a lot to do with the layers of "insulation" you might have. I put on 50# after I quit smoking, and I know for a fact that I don't get near as cold as I used to. Most of the season, I wear my lightweight camos, and only when it gets down in the teens and 20's do I break out the under armor cold gear. Guess I better get up to PA to hunt soon before I lose it all and freeze to death again.
I'm just starting to fit back into the old hunting clothes from 02, wish I hadn't sold so many. let them go for penny's on the dollar. not sure how the predator pattern ( great in snow ) will work down here.
The way I hear you, Rad, I'd imagine flip flops, a wife beater, and ur tighty-whiteys will blend in just fine. Just make sure it's okay to kill deer while they're laughin their antlers off.
Papa J frost on the ground this morning on our lease. I sat in my blind tell I got tried of putting it back. Wind kept blowing so hard the pegs holding the blind down kept pulling out of the ground and blowing my blind over. Of course a big doe walked out on my food plot just above my shooting house while I was putting it back. Flagged and ran. Back tomorrow.
Need to get ya some long tent stakes and anchor it down from the inside. I use the tie down ropes on the inside. Attach them to the roof/side poles where they attach to the blind, and then cross them diagonally along the side. Might need more tie down lines, but it works real well and it makes adjusting easy w/o having to get out of the blind.
Get back at er in the mornin and knock one down.
