hopefully not but it sounds like your car was over heating and the sensor was not showing it.. when it rides rough its over heating.. when it over heats the head cracks and thats it.. it will over heat quick after start up.. just check your oil. if its milky looking that means that you have a crack in the head and antifreeze is mixing with the oil.. not good.
