well then I guess it's not the place I was thinking of, has been around a while and doing well by word of mouth, good for them. funny how places you think stink do well and others you love close their doors. as I said it's 1 tough biz, very competitive and long lousy hours for the owners. luckily some folks love that life and make up the few and far between good places.

gave it a try last night and you were all correct, good food at a good price, great location on the river but kind of unorganized loud and smokey. and this was on a tues night. I couldn't imagine how long you would have to stand in line to place an order when it was busy. it took me a good 15 min and there were only a couple people in front of me. the only low table available and suitable for my wife and I was next to the juke box which did have great music but we couldn't hear each other. I would certainly go back alone or maybe with a bud but don't think I'd wanna try it on a weekend, or if real busy. is tipping a city in China there? I saw no tip jars and had no idea who to tip when or where, when you pay for your food before you get it and service is minimal. I do prefer the more casual atmosphere, dress and food quality "up there" from homosassa to inglis, rather than the ones here in Spring Hill and south to hudson and NPR. overall a thumbs up but would consider it a great bar with real good food rather than a restaurant you would bring your family or company to. unless you are a rowdy bunch that don't mind smoke or a loud atmosphere. it looked like there are a few other places nearby that might be worth a checkout. the drive out to ozello is also nice with a few restaurants on the way too.

I wouldn't exactly say family un friendly, but drinking seems more of a priority than eating. a tiki bar with great food. I'm a bit of a not so old fogey and take my eating and drinking seriously but don't like to do both at the same time and place. I did not see any kids when I was there.
