Your all wrong,I say it's the review mirror pressure relief switch. They have a tendency to act up on those older Starsky and Hutch type auto's.

maybe it had something to do with the dual hood mounted 50 cal bmg's?

i figured it out, there were lots of good diagnoses on this one, but i am fairly certain that it is a loose nut behind the wheel.

Nothing a "butt out" will not fix..

You know the descriptions of the problem and noise sound like a girl telling me what is wrong with her car...just sayin'
