Went to Chassahowitzka Saturday and same problem all over. The deer fly's were the worst that I have seen in the last 10 years. Places had water that I haven't seen in 5 or 6 years but it should push the pigs back up to the high ground again. Only saw turkeys on this outing. Did pick up all new black powder stuff at the Wal Mart on 50 only place I could find it.

I'm guessing I'm fortunate for not knowing what a deer fly is?

Yes
The bite (not sting) and many are allergic to the bites. They will swell up pretty quick. I have to leave my rings off if there are any of them around as they will get you on the fingers and it swell up. We went camping once and I had to take my wife to ER to get benadryl shot from the bites
