When up to the camp this weekend to check cameras and put up a new stand. Went into my first area and I felt like "Pearl Harbor". The mosquitos were so thick and ferocious. It seemed they attacked everywhere I could not spray, around the eyes, nose and inside the ears. I have hunted in a lot of areas including the Everglades and never been attacked like that. I needed a transfusion after I got out of there. Mosquito net here I come. WOW!!! Got some corn out but no stands. Saw some turkey, little gators, about 2', water moccasins and a dead 5' rattler in the road. A few does around sunset. Next time I go I will be bringing "type O+" with me. :rolleyes

They are bad. But I noticed they were not as bad this weekend as they were three weeks ago. Sorta like there was pockets of them. One stand there wasn't any. Other spots they would tote you off

Mosquitos are ok in the stand with therma cell. ( I'm actually in my stand as I type this) the DEER FLYS are so bad it's almost impossible to sit. Swords of 6 to 9 stinging like crazy.

I noticed they aren't as bad as several weeks ago. I heard they have been doing the aerial sprays for a few weeks and it seems to be helping. I still pack the thermocell though.
