Gardening was going pretty well till last night's rain, and the rain is still coming. We got 5.9" since Saturday and looking at the radar there is rain all the way back into Miss. coming our way.
Was able to plant the sweet corn with the help of our grandsons last Tuesday. It was needling through Monday morning. The beans and the squash took quite a beating from the rain and some of the zipper cream peas were sanded by the heavy rain. The red field corn is doing okay. We planted our raised beds today with peppers, 'maters and a couple of zucchini plants.
Fixin to move the old Massy Ferguson and noticed a Wren flying in and out of the nose, so it has become a big bird house for a few weeks.

Looks great! I had some deer come through mine last night after the rain....not sure what all they ate but it cant be good.
To say the least, our garden is wet! Everything is wet, we've had over 10 inches of rain in the last 10 days. Lots of wind yesterday with no damage close to home. Up in Jackson County there was a lot of damage but no injuries. Can't even mow the yard now but a day or two of dry weather and we'll be mowing and hoeing!
