getting another H&R. the .270 is a fun shooter. Thinking bigger though. 500 mag or 45-70. what y'all think?
I think between your 30-30, 270 bolt and shotgun, you've got your bases pretty well covered. not sure what else you have but a 22mag bolt rifle and revolver, 45acp pistol, and a long range bean field rifle ( 500 yd + ) with extreme power scope like 8x25 or so capable of taking woodchuck, deer, hog would be nice to have. I always say the next big purchase is going to be a good quality spotting scope, but always end up buying a gun instead. if you spent that rifle money on a reloading set up the money you'd save on ammo would pay for a new gun each year. just a few ideas to toss about. or you could blow it on a wild weekend at the hard rock with lots of booze hookers and and std to show for it. or knock up Mrs potato head and get a life time supply of french fries.

good idea, but H&R don't make that caliber rifle. lol. Maybe i can borrow your 338 Lapua one time and see how it does. lol
I might grab one of them to give them a try too....you said they were pretty accurate, Kemster?
