I own a stainless one in .40 and use it as my CCW. I like it alot as it is very easy to carry, light and very thin. I know there is alot of info on the net, bad & good about Taurus products. From my personal experience, this is the 2nd one I have owned. I had a full size 24/7 in 40, I had put over 1000 rounds down the pipe of that pistol and never had one problem or issue, no FTF or FTE. It shot everything I fed it. I will tell you that if you buy one new, the 1st thing I would do is strip it completely down and clean it thoroughly, lubricate it properly and put it back together before taking it out for practice the 1st time. I cleaned alot of gunk out of my slim when I got it. Must be the stuff that pack it in when they ship it up from Brazil.

I have a Taurus pt24/7 sub compact .40. I love that gun more than any other I've shot. Originally I bought a full size beretta px4 9mm for my carry gun. That now sits in its case my carry now is my .40. I guess the weight of it is just perfect for me as I'm far more accurate with it. Also own a Taurus .380 that is my wife's carry gun. A lot of people trash Taurus as did I until I bought my first one. Now I recommend them.

I would head to the store and make sure to hold one before purchasing. I have a medium sized hand and I almost need a pinkie extension on the mag to get a proper grip on the pistol. I can make due but because of its 1" thickness, if you have large hands or are "big boned" you might not be able to get a proper grip on it.
