As the title states. I'm heading up that way to visit the parents and would like to know of any good outdoor ranges close by or in Ocala.
Preferably one without any range officers lol.

There is one up on Hwy 40 but I have heard it is like the wild wild west. Do not leave any weapons on the table as you swap out targets, I understand they have been walking away. I think someone suggested going in the middle of the week, stay away from the weekends and holidays.
The one in the national forest is the wild wild west... Make sure to keep a loaded handgun on your side at the range.... Been there twice and the second time we had to leave due to the knuckle heads out there. Surprised someone hasn't been shot out there yet....
I've been out at the range in the forest there in ocala probably 15 times and haven't had any problems yet.
