before you start kicking it give it a real close eyeballing with a flashlight and mag glass it could be hung up on a very small edge or lip of metal and you may be able to pry it off GENTLY with something narrow like a very fine screwdriver. if you start kicking it youre just gonna bend the bolt handle imo but it could work, or make things worse. if you can't get it loose without abusing it, don't force anything, take it to a smith. my 2 cents.

That's good advise!
Personally I'd list it on FL Gun Trader "For Sale" for $899 and try and get some Stupid SOB to buy it for retail plus 30%.
Maybe fiddle with the safety. This is just a guess but maybe if the safety is on it won't open. Probably not that simple, but hey you never know.
Hey deerhunter. I did a quick search on Bing and apparently this is a common problem. Here's a fix I found on another site http://www.perfectunion.com from 2002. It looks easy and safe enough to do with spending any money or screwing your gun up any further.:
Here is a quick fix for the stuck bolt in the closed position.
Take two disposable (balsa wood) chopsticks, usually the kind that you get for take out, and then use one to push down the hammer away from the bolt towards the trigger catch, and then use the other chopstick to hold it down in place, till you can push it all the way down and it latches.
This will allow you to open the action and remove the bolt and the trigger group.
Hope this helps.
