I bought my sps at wally world.
Sent From Cr0ck1' IPhone most likely from the woods.
Ain't nothing wrong with SPS from Walmart.
It's no better or worse than SPS sold at BassPro or at local gun shop.
I have shot a used 700 ADL .243, walnut stock for the last 12 or 15 years and I have a retired 700 ADL 30-06 that never has given a minutes trouble. The 06 is a 1962 , 1st year of production, bought used in '68, and has a 19" factory bbl.
Now my question is this, Do y'all feel that the ADLs from Walmart are a different rifle than the ADLs sold by regular gun dealers? Haven't heard this before tonight, but I'm out of the loop when it comes to buying new guns. Treefarmer
A Remington 700 ADL rifle from Walmart is same as any other 700 ADL sold at any other store.
Remington doesn't make any special lower grade and lower cost rifles for Walmart. Walmart does pay less for their rifles as they usually buy much larger quantity than anybody else so there is the economies of scale advantage.
For Remington to make special run of rifles just for Walmart doesn't make business sense. When Remington makes bolts for 308 caliber rifles they don't make BDL "grade" bolt, SPS "grade" bolts, ADL "grade" bolts, Walmart "grade" bolts, etc... they just make thousands of bolts. Only difference is when the surface finish is applied... jewelled or parkerized.
Sort of like buying a car... a FORD Explorer XLT is same at every dealer except little things like color, radio, etc.
