Kind of what I figured. I think I'm going to pass on it. It looked pretty used. He wants to trade it plus $500 for my RV project. I told him the gun plus $1000 and I might bite. :>)

X2! I wouldn't get into a used one for more than $500 in trade or cash value. Pre-Frenzy they could be had for $499 NIB. The frenzy is nearly over and prices are falling on firearms like falling stars. A lot of folks have gotten gouged and seriously over paid for firearms they thought they could flip for a profit and have gotten caught in the rat trip, due to greed.
