I don't often support Bellyacher on just about anything, but single action pistols feel/ point/ balance and carry a lot different than double actions and semi autos. I can't think of any DA's or semi's with a 10" bbl, off the top of my head. having a short torso myself carrying a 7 1/2" SBH on the hip, was hard to raise it high enough to clear leather, so it had to be either slung lower, worn crossdraw or in a vertical shoulder or bandolier type holster. in 44 mag having the recoil/ noise/ muzzle blast further away from my face plus the longer sight radius for more accuracy would make it a big + at the range, and if worn other than the hip I doubt it would make a big diff carrying it in the field. now that I need specs to read my watch, the days of hitting bevg cans at 50 yds offhand are way over. but for someone else with better vision that could take advantage of that long bbl it might be nice. if I ever got another single action, I've always wanted a 45 long colt cal with a 4 5/8" bbl. as much as it pains me to say it, nice gun there Bellyacher.

Thanks nacho that really warms my hart. I love SA revolvers. I also have a colt peacemaker in 22lr and another ruger BH in 357

Id be all over that if the barrel was shorter.

My ideal blackhawk to own is a stainless, .41 or .44 mag with a 6-7 inch barrel. Really nice gun tho bellyarcher.

If your looking for big bore revolver I have a ruger super redhawk in .480. matte SS with 7.5" barrel. also comes with all the stuff the 44mag has also plus SS ruger scope rings. Has only fired 5rds

Yea i want the bright nickel look. There both nice guns. I was debating making an offer on the 10.5, and seeing if s gunsmith could cut the barrel down ( noe sure if thats legal or not)
