I thought we could use a place to discuss firearms, knives, or other weapons that may or may not be part of our hunting and fishing activities. We can discuss weapons for personal carry, collectibles, hobbies, or even if you don't "own" any weapons, what you think about them if you did have them!

I know we have guys on here with a great deal of knowledge and experience in everything from ammo reloading to zip guns, so let's talk!

the way we wander around off topic so much as it is,I think it would be pretty much covered under guns and hunting gear, but as the old jewish guy said "it couldn't hurt"

Well hopefully we can avoid as many threadjacks and such, or when someone is selling something we don't have to talk about the item in that thread, we can bring it up here. Plus, I don't consider this .40S&W I just bought or other carry guns "hunting" weapons, so not quite fitting to start a thread in the hunting forum. And it's a specific enough category to deserve its own area away from the generic "Campfire".

I wouldn't consider the 38 spec colt agent I bought my wife a hunting arm, UNTIL I fill it with snake shot and carry it into the woods when tending my feeder.don't fully trust snake shot in an autoloader, unfortunately, cuz I know someday I'm gonna run across a hog while carrying in some corn without a rifle. right now I'm worried about snakes more than hogs, and keep my eyes focused on the area about 4' from my feet, if you can even see your feet in the overgrowth.
