like 5 years ago i bought the dpms sportical.
first ar i ever owned
never had one issue with it ever and if you read online reviews you will get the same input, they are low cost but reliable..
they have their place in the market, if your a range shooter and average hunter the gun will fit you perfect.. if your going through the jungle and crawling on the ground i'd suggest mil-spec to keep the dirt out of bolt and forward assist just incase said dirt gets into upper and bolt doesn't close completely.

i sold the upper and built a 7.62x39 on the complete lower and have that rifle still..

so from someone who owned one for years: its a solid rifle for the price.
its all about budget: for every 100 you add to that price tag they get better and better and better.

happy hunting

a few things to look for is a forward assist on the upper, it is a push button that is on an angle off the left side of the receiver..

Shouldn't that be on the right side?

Maybe mine downrange was made wrong... :cheers

sorry, was working on a STAG lefty that day.... the right side is correct for a right handed rifle.
