Found a Marlin 1895 45-70 in very good condition. Open sights, no scope. Any ideas on what a rifle like this is worth on the market?
I wouldn't pay more than $400-$450 for a Blue/Walnut gun in this market. A Stainless/Walnut gun I might give $525 for. If it is factory ported add $50. This is based at a 95% condition.
Very good condition in my book is 80-85%. Might give $375 for a Blue/Walnut NOT Ported gun, but would have to see it.
I'm waiting on some more pics of the rifle to judge its true cosmetic condition. It seems to be priced right based on what is posted above, but the guy has it in Missouri and is not sure if he'll be able to bring it with him on his next trip to Tampa, so if he shipped it there'd be shipping and FFL costs pushing it over what I was wanting to pay.
Sounds good. Do you have any lines on anyother weapons for sale? PM me if you do...
