You looked at Shoot Straight in Tampa or Clearwater? I saw one in the Clearwater store a few weeks back. I think it was a 9. Try their website.
No I haven't tried there. I'll have to check out their website

Be prepared to pay full MSRP-boat plus 10-20% for anything those crooks at Shoot Straight sell! They sell and normally deal with the impluse and uneducated buyer and do not negotiate on price. Only reason they are still in business is because they have multiple locations in CFL from Tampa to Orlando and have been in the gun business for a long time raping people. They most likely own everything outright and don't have any mortgages. If they sell something fine, if not, that's fine too. A new shop today with fixed overhead, mortgage, initial inventory, set-up, advertising, and staffing would be out of business in less than 90 days trying to sell new guns for what shoot straight does.
I'd find a new one on gunbroker.com, biuy it and have it sent a local FFL and I'd bet you could save $50-150 even after paying shipping and $25 FFL transfer fee. Here's an example of one New in Box for $399 plus $30 shipping. Not sure what shoot straight wants but I'd guess $549.00 plus tax plus $5 call in.

Shoot straight. $479 plus $34.00 tax plus $5 call in = $518.00 http://www.shoot-straight.com/p-287-mp40c-wo-internal-lock.aspx
The same gun above on-line is $399 plus $30 shipping plus $25 FFL transfer = $454.00 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =318004966
$64.00 dollar difference.....
Personally I'd wait, look, watch and find a good used one, when one becomes available on gunbroker or FL gun trader and I'd bet you could buy it with shipping for less than $300 or on FL gun trader Face to Face for $250-300. The whole thing is being diligent and patient about finding one if you don't want to pay full boat and get a "Good to Excellent" deal on one.
