Nacho i am sure there is some sentimentality, however i was going to repair out of my pocket, as she does not have the money to replace or repair. I figure i can probably replace the hammer myself. She lives alone and needs some protection for herself. i figure this is the cheapest way. There is a place in arizona that has been in business since 1955 that looks like it may have parts for H&R pistols and revolvers, as well as some great looking stocks (not as good as my great grandfathers walnut on his m1903) for my m1903 project. i did find 38 s+w ammo for as low as 24.95 per box of 50, and as high as 33.95 per box. Not like feeding the redhawk in 45lc i used to have at $30 per box of 20, if you could find em at the time.
I couldn't get a magazine box for a 1980's Ruger 77 (probly 100,000's made) from Ruger direct. cost then 2.50$ i'm sure someone has the parts you need on a dusty shelf somewhere, just gotta find them. luckily I found mine or was looking at buying 2 -308 boxes, (30$ each) cutting/welding them together to make a longer one. good luck on your hunt.
