I bought a marlin 336 30-30 last year. Finally put a scope on it. Anyone shoot any of the hornady leverrevolutions out of them and how did they eject or feed . The side of the bullet box it says you may need a different magazine for them.

After I got my lever gun(same gun as yours), I shot them for a few years. They shoot great and feed and eject fine. However I was less than impressed with the terminal performance. Granted I neck/head shoot 99% of shots with that gun and didn't lose any game. I noticed when skinning animals there was a ton of bullet fragments and many times the bullet never exited, just exploded. The couple times I took body shots on deer, I never got an exit and never had a blood trail on perfect hits.
I switched back to the 170 Gr core lokts and they perform much better. I can't stand a bullet that won't hold together. Also, if you put them in a stock shell carrier and they get any humidity on them, they will be green by the next weekend

my .02 cents

/// This // deadly accurate but not impressed with terminal performance. Granted I killed everything I hit but tracking was a bear. Entry wounds looked like exit holes and there was no exit hole.

NOT a fan of gummy tip performance either. longer ranges are supposed to work better. A round nose core lokt kill very well & function fine. the older Marlins say pre 1970? may have some issues as they were strictly designed to feed/eject round nosed rounds. My 1952 336 had troubles with the gummies.
