I heard all it requires is a contract between a seller and a buyer on a sheet of paper. Is this true?

As long as the person you are selling the gun to would be legally able to obtain the gun on their own it's legal.

Yep. No firearms registration in FL (unless you go automatic, use a supressor, or night vision scope).

contract, we don't need no stinking contract. just make sure the cash ain't counterfeit LOL. seriously a little conscience and common sense is all. if the person has a ccw permit that's a plus for me but legally it's a FL drivers license only. if the buyer seems like a gang banger, druggie or criminal, just say no. you are not required to run a background check, but suppose you could if you really wanted to.not a bad idea to get a bill of sale if things look shady with serial #'s and drivers license #.
