That is precisely what a good friend of mine did a few years back. He got in financial dire straits when he and his wife lost their business. He had to hock all his guns for quick cash to buy food and pay utilities. I almost puked when he told me that, as I would have given him more $$ than a pawn shop would have...or I would have loaned him the $$ and kept the guns as collateral. I ripped him a new one. I made him promise me if he ever decided to sell or pawn a gun again to contact me first. The thing that pissed me the most is he had a beautiful 35 lever action I had tried to buy from him for over 10 years that he didn't want to sell..he let it go in with the rest of them. That made me vomit as I have always wanted a 35

you and me both. the 35 is so far superior to the 30-30 I can't believe they never realy caught on down here, but are now coming on strong. I've re-loaded them plenty for friends and you can use 357 pistol bullets in them. a 180 gr hornady xtp is awesome in that caliber for 75 yards and less. I already have 200 of the xtp's and the dies waiting for a marlin 35 lever, open sights of course.

Next Marlin 336 in .35 Rem I find in a deal it's your Dave and/or Allen. They are available used but I can't see spending over $350 for a good one. They were a very popular Bear gun in PA for many years and still are. Very popular Big game guns in the NE also. Same goes for the Remmy 760 and 7600 pump guns in the NE, especially in PA where NO semi autos are allowed for small or big game in PA. This is another one of the reasons the Pumps and Levers have lasted as long as they have, especially in the NE.
