Nachos advise is excellent. Look everywhere and anywhere, all the time. Patients and timing is most important and having $$$$$$$$ on hand ready to make an offer and deal. The P6 or P225 in 9mm is another great choice. If you can't find a P220, P225, P226, P229 or P239 for $500 or less it isn't the gun for you. The whole idea is to buy quality firearms at the right price so they appreciate right down the road and if you have to sell in the near future you never loose your azz during an impulse or emergency quick sale.

This evening I picked up a sig 220 for $350. Original box and 3 mags. Has some holster marks on it as it was a duty gun. It came with hogue grips and a couple hundred rounds of hp's.

Dang thats a good deal!

oh i have a question for you guys, would the double actions be bad for competition? My gf and I want to try out some competitions when i get a gun, and i got to thinking the long trigger pull on a double action may be a disadvantage. I want to do those competitions where you kind of run and stuff, sorry i sound dumb because i really have no clue about them, but not cowboy pull style competition.
