Look into used guns too.
I know it's not a good time to buy pistols but there are good deals out there to be had.
Last week I picked up a Glock G34 and G21SF for $1000. Both were 3rd gen and were like new in their case with extra mags.

Nacho and I have bought 4 or 5, I've lost count, used $750-850 Sig Sauer P 220, 229, and 239's in .45, .40, and 9mm in the last 12 months and we haven't given more than $500 for any of them. Could sell everyone of them for $750 each without much work.

Don't give $500 for used Glocks. The only reason the price is inflated on Glocks is based on the current gun frenzy and the supply currently appears less than what people want. The price will come back down on them. Don't get caught over paying, you'll thank us later if you have to sell them down the road.

Dang wanna sell one for cheap? Lol. How are baretta px4's? Saw one used for $400. I have only seen good things about them thus far. Also, anyone have anything bad to say about the bersa thunder .40 pro? Those are also fairly cheap and have good reviews. I want to hear the cons though

YOU WANT THE TRUTH? G.B. and I have been trying to tell it to you guys for 3 years now and getting nothing but grief for it. a lot of people can't handle the truth. everyone thinks the gun they own is the best in the world, as long as it hasn't blown up in their face. just an example, don't get em twisted if you own one, someone that bought a sterling or raven 380 for 180ish$ new and still has all his fingers thinks that is best.

Yes I want the truth lol. I figured anyone who hasn't had their gun jam yet will brag about how great it is. That's why I came on here because I know you guys at least know more than me about guns.

I'm thinking I may avoid compact because doesn't a compact gun sacrifice accuracy? It's technically going to be my gf's so if it gets carried it'll be in her big purse. I can see us going to the range a lot and possibly getting into some competitions in a beginner class or something just for fun. I heard about these action competitions that I'd love to try out.
