Yeah I for sure don't want DAO. I think the DA/SA would be perfect especially if my gf decides to carry it which I will strongly encourage her to do. I figure less chance of her accidentally pulling the first shot over say a striker. But then we could still use it for competition with a nice easy pull after the first. Yeah I heard about that trigger for the sigs, ill keep it in mind whenever we get ours. Thanks for the good info guys!

I need some opinions. I really want a sig, but with prices how they are right now, I will have to wait. Since this will be my gf's gun, I'm in between the xds and xdm 3.8 compact. I know these are plastic and won't last, but they are cheap, and ill go for the sig when we get our second handgun (1911 carry). So what do you guys think between those two? Xds is slimmer which would be great for her hands and has excellent reviews for a newer gun, but low round capacity. Also, would we be able to do any kind of competitions with it just to have a side hobby? The xdm compact can hold way more rounds and I'm sure that can definitely be used in a competition, and is small enough to carry. Would the xdm compact be a lot more accurate being a little bigger, or would the difference be too little to tell?

I considered the shield, but I've been researching a lot on the xds and it got really great reviews when compared to similar guns. Is the shield about the same as m&p sub compact?

No opinion on them. I think you need to decide if you want a carry gun or competition gun first. You've mentioned it in your last two posts and the two things don't go together. Personally if I was going to start shooting IPSC again I'd go with a full size Glock in the Stock class and a EAA Witness in the modified or open class. Only reason I'd get a Glock again is because you can replace everything on those guns in about 30 minutes and during competition it's nice not to have to DQ because of malfunctions.

If you look, wait, look, wait, search and look and wait some more you will find your Sig in the $500 range. Why spend $500-600 on an XD or M&P? Like we stated earlier, Nacho and I have bought 5-6 of them for right at $500 in the last year or two. Two P-239's, Two P-220's, a P229 and another I think...

You gotz gun buyers itch son! Don't impluse buy or you'll be sorrrrrrryyyyyyyyy!
