I hadn't been to a gun show in quite some time, and had never made the run up to the jacksonville cliffhanger one. Went there looking for muzzleloaders and stumbled on to a model 37 Ithaca 12 ga turkey slayer. Felt real good to shoulder it, and it had some nice features like ported barrel, camo job, fiberoptic rifled sights and very nice recoil pad. I lightened my pockets of $275, and took my new find home. My weakening near vision was much in need of the upgraded sights. Just have to quickly get loads tested for turkey season.
I like that! Sounds like a great deal. One of my biggest regrets was trading off a 16 ga. 37 that was a "natural born" dove slayer. They are great shotguns and I hope to see y'all with a big ol gobbler when the time gets here!
