Any idea how many rounds have been fired through it? I've seen several mentions online of the .45 having FTF and FTE problems due to it needing a break-in period. Also saw some mention of guns being sent back to manufacturer for a new hammer assembly and heavier buffer that's a bit longer and slows down the cycle rate enough to allow the brass to clear, but still shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger.
Well, shot off an email to JRC to see what their recommended remedy is and if its covered under warranty. Let the waiting game commence...
Well, jr carbine called me, they flat out told me to send the rifle back and they will update the buffer, mag well, bolt and modify the barrel to bring everything up to spec. All for free.. +1 for customer service.
hate to bring you down but that "bring it up to spec" line is an oldie. I just got it from H&R regarding a trigger. I'll take a wild guess and bet they will say "it's within factory spec and there is nothing we can do". for your sake I hope I'm wrong. it would be nice to see more good customer service these days. generally speaking you don't get high end customer service on low end products. I honestly hope you prove me wrong and restore my faith in mfgr's these days. keep us informed.
Just got the rifle back today, New bolt, firing pin, buffer tube extension, trigger, barrel (it's even threaded :D). Sitting in the parking lot of shoot straight as I write this. It didn't have one failure, shoots amazingly and for what it is, it's accurate. Props to jrc fit costumer service
