Hey I have an old Stevens 20ga. I bought from M12gunboy. I was gonna get it reblued and took it to GanderMountain, and they wanted $225 to do the job. Anybody know of someone else that does this in the Central Florida area? Would I be better off doing it myself? $225 is three times what the gun is worth, and I would be well on my way to buying a new 20ga at that point. Thanks for the help.
Kemster can probably do it for you. I know he's been real busy though.
If you are going to do just a simple reblue just to improve the appearance of the gun and not worried about the value, then the bluing kit is the way to go. It is very simple to do
Or you can refinish it with one of the spray and bake finishes.
Most can be done at home without problems if you take your time.
Most are very durable and corrosion resistant.
