A buddy of mine found a local smith to do some barrel work. He is taking his 1100 barrel to get it cut and threaded. Finally get to get this telephone pole of a turkey barrel cut down on my super mag
Does $70 sound fair for cutting and re-threading?

I'm not sure what the going rate is but $70 to get what you want seems ok to me.

Dave, I am going to take it down to 24". This long barrel cost me a turkey opening afternoon of season. Couldn't get it swung around :skeet

$75 is fair price if the barrel is vented and includes installing a new front bead.
On 1100 shotgun, when you cut the barrel down you sometimes have to open up the gas port to function reliabily.
