anybody have any experience with this model gun? i can get one for 100. my dad has an old k98 8mm with nazi marks that was passed down to him by his stepfather. and i was just wondering if the 1891 is as good a rifle as the k98. just one more for the collection that i may wanna shoot at the range on occasion.

I have a Argentina Mauser. Love it. It was passed down to me as well. Not sure of the comparison you are making. All I know is its deadly accurate. I love shooting the thing.

the gun appears to be in good shape, however it has no iron sights, just scope mounts. it will probably be going in the collection. price is hard to beat.

are you looking to trade or sell it? might make a good platform for a custom gun.

i may have not made myself clear. i interested in an argentine mauser, 119 at the pawn shop. i was just wondering if this is one of the great mauser action rifles i have heard about. supposed to be very smooth? i wonder how available the ammo is, and how expensive. i can scope the rifle, may make a good gun for the woods, then i wouldnt have to take my great grandfathers m1903 out.
