Anyone have any experience with AR-10 .308? A buddy of mine had his 30.06 stolen and is looking for an AR-10 to hunt with this season. Any advise on a good one or ones to stay away from? Any for sale?
Not AR-10 but, I have an AR-15 in 6.8 SPC. Its a good 300 yd. rifle and not as heavy. I love mine.
Here is an article I read this weekend that will bring you up to speed with issues concerning the AR-10 platform. It also selling the new DPMS recon rifle. Won't be long before prices start coming down on these newer reworked versions.

Ar 10 is a great weapon.
Rockriver makes a great one. All around good gun many rounds through it never a problem. Rockriver is on the fnfal platform.
I prefer the Smith and Wesson AR-10. The price is not bad, but it comes standard with a totally ambi lower. Safety, bolt release, mag release.
