I carry every day! My philosophy on concealed carry is the same as Fire extinguishers in my house and car. Better to have it and NOT need it, then to NEED it and NOT have IT!
And for those who carry and when asked by the anti-gun types "why do you carry a gun, are you hoping to shoot someone". I answer them this way.
"Why do you have a fire extinguisher in your house, are you hoping it will catch on fire?" usually does the trick to shut them up.
If not I use this one...
"I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy!" and then I walk away while ignoring any other comments they might make.
LOL @ Glow. I have been carrying since '97 and used it 1 time, I carry for peace of mind plus the laws in FL when hunting are clear on a WMA, have a permit or don't carry when scouting...plus all those guns in the car going back and forth no cop will hassle you with a permit.
Just pray to God that all of us that carry never have to use it

IMO carrying is your constitutional right and you shouldn't have to get a permit for what is within your rights to do in the first place. kinda like getting a birth certificate for your 50th birthday.
