I'll be going down to the licensing office in Punta Gorda Tuesday morning with my DD214, drivers license and check for $117 in hand! Should have my CWP a week or so later. Been meaning to do this for several years, just finally got my "round tuit"!

It was PG or Tampa, and PG is supposed to be the regional office for Sarasota. Plus on the way home I'm stopping at Myakka and gonna try to stick a hog!

For now my Sigma .40, but will be on the lookout for other options! I doubt I'll actually "carry" that often, but now I'll be allowed a sidearm during archery season, won't have the 3 day wait for gun purchases, and a few other perks that come with the permit.
That .40 will serve you well, I have a .357 revolver in the car and a Kel-Tec .380 in my pocket...I wanted a light easy to conceal pocket gun.
Yeah whether it is traveling to your lease or walking in the field you now will be legal.
