A friend of mine uses Bud's alot and is very happy, I have used gunbroker.com, about 7 times on guns and about 10 times on reloading supplies bullets etc, I have never gotten ripped off and always saved money even with shipping, and ffl price, just be sure and shop around see if the price is worth it.. on my T/C prohunter brand new i got it for 760. shipping included NEW all the shops around here were asking 900.00, the same with my ruger Redhawk SS i save 70.00 so just see the prices around town and don't buy from anyone if florida to advoid the tax.. check number of transactions the seller has, if only 1 then i don't take a chance but 5 or more then i would do it if the price is right . action arms is a little more pricey and gunsamerica is pricey also
I have bought and sold on gunbroker. Had a shotgun come in with a cracked stock. took pics and sent to seller. never a problem and he paid me for the restock. My p-7 came from gunbroker. top notch-real good price. my T/C for GB . just shop around and don't be in a hurry. If there are no bids and close to the deadline, email the seller with an offer. done that also.
Once I get the wood floors I've been promising my wife, I think I'll get one from Buds. They are the cheapest even with a $25 FFL and $5 background check. Free shipping!
I have bought 2 guns from budsgunshop.com and had no trouble with them at all.
I called my FFL (gunsmith) had him fax over his FFL to buds.
They shipped my guns, my gunsmith did the background check on me, $25.00 each (much cheaper than most gun stores, so shop around)
and with my ccl, I was out the door a few minutes later.
Plus, if you are buying from outside Florida, you shouldn't have to pay sales tax ($24 or more on a $400 gun).
Good Oyster you are the 2nd person I've heard this from (1st my bro in law). Unfortunately I did not look into it enough last year. I purchased a rifle from a gent in NC and the FFL guy told me (before I even made transaction) that he would not do deal unless he collected sales tax on the firearm. He stated the BATF checked him on it???? I assumed all FFL's would collect tax, but it seems I'm hearing different. Like I said, I didn't check other FFL's before ordering. He was just convenient and his hours were more flexible.
